Page from a story I wrote a long time ago, which really kinda sucked.
The girl isn't human, and she just threw herself into a lake after suffering a horrid betrayal at the hands of her "adopted" human brother. She's not committing suicide, though, as she can't drown, being what you might call a "water spirit". The voices calling to her are the "spirits of lake" that are beckoning to her to unleash the restraints she placed upon them and others like them, millenniums ago, to prevent them from destroying all the life on land. They're trying to use her grief to get her to release them, to use them to wipe out the human race. Ice age, great flood, somethin' like that.
The girl was drawn and inked traditionally, and everything else was done in Photoshop.
