Highest strings shriek shrill protest
Under hesitant hands
Polished bright she fools the eyes
Varnished wood, her brief diguise
Her voice, it grates upon the ears
Deception bared for all to hear
By my reluctant hands

It's succinct and descriptive enough for its purpose.
I also like the repetition of the idea in the last line of each stanza with the hands. :>
